Ralph McQuarrie, whose conceptual designs were behind the "Star Wars" characters Darth Vader, Chewbacca, R2-D2 and C-3PO, has died at the age of 82.

Always a believer that the deceased no longer follow on Facebook I shall pass.
Reading even some of his designs does indeed bring a smile to my face. Designs that have become so iconic and wrapped up in the dreams of children and adults alike.
A wonderful intuitive designer indeed and thank you for posting this.
