Would be very nice to have the eyedropper also working on reference images in the paint room.
Now it only works with picking color from model.

agree, it also would be great
as far i noticed the paint room do not get enough attention in the development
because the most changes/updates or plus features for the voxel sculpting and impurve the over all stability.
anyway i'm sure that the paint room also will get more focus soon

And the background image too.
Ideally the color picker would sample from any point on the screen, including outside 3d-coat's window.
Also, a nice feature for color-picking is the option to return an averaged color from all points picked during mouse down.
