As poly modelling applications are truly much of a muchness in comparative functionality and therefor free of any tribal instincts, may I recommend to you a great series of videos put together by a fantastic, enthusiastic group of people who appear to insult each other with great affection and regularity.

Watching a bit of the first vid really could help one appreciate 3d Coat more =)
