He is that guy hanging around the area beneath the Hollywood sign? I think the cops would like to have a word with him.
Seriously, pretty funny scene/character. Can you try a render with SSS and perhaps bring the Specularity down on the skin. Curious to see how that would look. Are you rendering in Carrara or have you tried using Blender for that? Their new Cycles interactive renderer looks pretty sweet.

Funny scene and glad your a part of the 3DCoat community.
Also glad how you post some of your steps, mis-steps on the blog, refreshing...
3DCoat once ya figure out the little quirks, she's a beaut...
Hexagon, yes baby...
My favorite modeling program, It works like an artist thinks, I hope Daz3D continues the tradition. I was sorry to see Evoia go under...
I have Carrara 5 Pro, not sure if I will upgrade as I have Messiah Studio and Vue now. The renderer in Carrara always has been very good and easy to work with...

Thanks guys! Spec down...I wanted it more, I needed him to be sweaty after a nights foraging beneath the Hollywood sign! I tried sss on my earlier versions...havnt quite figured that one out yet .Though on the earlier version, I did end up using "edge falloff" a sort of fake sss. I keep popping over to the Blender site to keep checking it out. It still does not suit me...little things ,like moving the camera......what was all that about, from what I can remember it was like working a flippin video game! I just want to move the camera like you do in Carrara.....you just sort of ....move it. Anyway...my brain is full

Great result Stu, love how he looks startled and captured by the flash of camera.
So this is what happens to old Glam Rockers / Prog Rockers?
Go Carrara, a much underrated creative tool with hidden depths and one that's process/ methodology doesn't get in the way of the creative flow.
