Also, 3DC progress does not suffer because of TG, it takes a minutes to make simple changes. Now I am hard working over uv-tweaking in uv-view window.

Great! Andrew, but I still insist that painting on UV map in 2D view and feedback on 3d view is the most expected features.I have updated the link, please re-download. Also, I have made render export like yukon_28 has told (2 intersected billboard).

About painting in 2D: I plan to make it in more general way, so that it will be possible to use 3DC not only to paint in uv-plane, but even like 2D image editor even instead of expensive PS.Great! Wooooo! That is so coooool! Andrew,I admit,I am a fanatical worshipper of you! I come to this forum every day only to find what you have done and plan to do for 3dc.In fact,I don't use 3dc in any commercial work . I am so strange why you can make such a big apps only by yourself, which should be made by a corporation,a group of developers.
That's couldn't possible without his abundant knowlage in mathematics, physics and program.May be more...
Surely, that's couldn't possible without his patient&beautiful wife, couldn't possible without his lovely childrens, couldn't possible without his unswerving belief...
So many...

Thanks for another really cool tool!
I have a problem now, though. 3D-Trees crashed on me yesterday and it won't open anymore. I have re-downloaded the latest build and it still gives me the same message that I have posted as an attachment.
I think the crash originally occurred when I was moving one of the sliders to the right. I don't recall which one.
3D-Coat still works fine.
Thanks for the help,
Jon

Looks good, but I see that quads are repeated like tiles 2x2.Thanks Andrew for a great app. I just thought I share my first attempt with 3D Tree, It's not super, but it's just a test. Rendered with LightWave.
Look at NPictPerBillboardX and NPictPerBillboardY. It should be equal 2

Yeah I know, I think I have to re-texture it. I'll try to make random rotations to the billboards and see if it looks better.
To make the billboards to face the camera in LW I have to make a pointcloud of the billboards from 3D Coat. Then I make one billboard that I clone to all the points.

Please re-download the package. It will allow to send bug-reports. Please write comment there. Then I will understand the problem better.
Hi Andrew,
I tried the new version and 3D-Trees isn't creating the bug.html file when it crashes. The crash occurs before the program even starts so maybe it can't initialize??? Firefox displays this- Firefox can't find the file at /C:/Program Files (x86)/3D-Coat-2-trees/Bugreport/bug.html.
Thanks,
Jon

Looks much better! How have you rendered billboards? Here's a new one. This time I have rotated some of the billboards. This is still just a test so it's not perfect.
Auger, please re-download package, I have made some changes that may help.

Sorry Andrew, that didn't do the trick. It gave a more detailed error message but it wouldn't create the bug report. I've attached an image of the error again.
Thanks for your help,
Jon

Ztreem,
Could you please explain on how you make a point cloud of the billboards and then make one billboard to clone to all the points in LW9.3? Sorry for the noob ques, but I'm new to the billboard scene and my 3DC Trees look awful in LW. Thanks so much...MG

Edit: If not Andrew update Tree generator to make leaves in another way, more like Xfrog does leaves.(Every leaf as a poly billboard that not needs to face the camera all the time.)
