Online translation on many languages

Recommended Posts

Hi Andrew,

I hope for Polish language. I can help doing translations for that.

I think about 3D-Coat Manual in Polish, like that in 3D-Coat-Manual-ru.pdf file...

Hello,

Translation of 3DCoat is a big amount of work, do you think you have enough patience and enthusiasm to finish it? If yes I can add it.

I suggest everyone to translate 3DC in the application itself. The web way is not good, because you cannot see what you have translated and where the translation appears.

My suggest for someone who really wants to translate (believe me, it need weeks):

1. Take the english version of the xml language file. You will find it in the installation folder of your 3DC installation: Example c:\Program Files\3D-Coat-V3\Languages\...

2. Overwrite a language file that you don't need. Example: If you came from poland and don't use the german language, then overwrite the german file, as long as your language is not supported officially in 3DC.

3. Make your translations in the german file. You can switch on they fly in 3DC to see your translation results.

4. Don't forget to make a backup of your translation, because 3DC overwrites the language files on every new update!

As soon as you are ready, send it to pilgway and see what will happen... :)

Best wishes

Chris
