Member MitchR Posted August 14, 2014 Member Report Share Posted August 14, 2014 Can any show me a way to render out my 3d scene I have have of an object animating to a video of the UV template with the scene within? I use 3ds Max myself but I would think this technique would not matter which platform. I am using this for 3d projection mapping where I will be physically video projecting onto a sculpture. Anyone? Contributor TimmyZDesign Posted August 14, 2014 Contributor Report Share Posted August 14, 2014 The tutorial link below uses Maya, but maybe it will still help you. He actually starts to assign the image sequence to a plane in Maya at about 4:15 in the video. I personally have not tried to apply an image sequence to anything other than a plane in Maya, but I'm guessing it could also work on more complex geometry. Here is the tutorial link: Also I think there are some UV projection tools in Maya which might be able project an image sequence (instead of just a single image) onto geometry. You could check into that as well. Maybe there is stuff like that in Max too...
