Advanced Member Monsoon Posted September 19, 2008 Advanced Member Report Share Posted September 19, 2008 Let me first state that, for me, of all the tools I have that do these things, 3dC is proving to be the easiest and most intuitive of the lot and the output is spot on. Now...it seems that 'export low poly mesh' is different in the two places it's found. I've been struggling with it because when you import say a 198 poly mesh and use 'file' 'export low poly mesh with original vertex positions' I get a mesh thats in the thousands of polygon size. However, if I go to 'export model' and choose 'export low poly mesh' in the next window, I get my 198 poly mesh back. Why is there a difference and won't folks get confused by the two? I did. I didn't even try the one in the export window because I assumed I would get the same result as the 'file' menu option. But that is probably just my duh.... Needless to say I was very happy when my 198 poly mesh came into Vue looking just as I had painted it. Not an issue really, just curious as to the difference. Keep up the fab work Andrew!!! Andrew Shpagin
Agree there is some extra item in menu... Or not well adjusted. I will improve that.
