Advanced Member arumiat Posted August 20, 2015 Advanced Member Report Share Posted August 20, 2015 I'm relatively ignorant on hardware. In practical terms how will this improve my day to day experience as a 3D generalist?

In practical terms how will this improve my day to day experience as a 3D generalist? Think of your 3d application as an arena of operations. If you have a 2 gig RAM computer, you're working in a 250 sq ft apartment with a low ceiling. If you have 8 gigs you have a nice studio with 16 ft ceiling 650 sq ft If you have 64gigs + you have a workplace the size of Versailles palace and all it's gardens.. And Pascal is coming next year http://wccftech.com/nvidia-pascal-gpu-gtc-2015/ I'm running 64 gigs ddr 2 EEC right now Edited August 20, 2015 by L'Ancien Regime
Contributor ajz3d Posted August 20, 2015 Contributor Report Share Posted August 20, 2015 (edited) Good news, but I hope that prices of old DDR3 modules won't begin to increase. I was planning to purchase a second set of them next month. I remember once when DDR2 were super cheap, DDR modules were sold at extraorbitant prices.
