Member DarkEdge Posted November 29, 2013 Member Report Share Posted November 29, 2013 (edited) Is there a way to scale the brush or a loaded stencil along one axis?? Also while I am at it, when I use the erase tool while painting it erases my paint (which is good) but it also erases the underlying base texture I guess, so it looks like I am looking right through my model?? Thanks so much Edited November 29, 2013 by DarkEdge
Reputable Contributor AbnRanger Posted November 29, 2013 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted November 29, 2013 Can't scale you brush that way, but you can with a material or mask (same as stencil in Mudbox) using the preview panel. Use the little scale icon, 2nd from the right. On the next question, hard to say without some kind of screen recording to see what it is you're doing (steps you're taking). When you hide the layer you are trying to erase, is the "underlying texture" on that layer?
Member DarkEdge Posted November 29, 2013 Author Member Report Share Posted November 29, 2013 Thanks for your help. I figured out the erase tool issue, was my misunderstanding of the layers pallete.
