Member Magian Posted January 17, 2008 Member Report Share Posted January 17, 2008 After I have imported a mesh with a texture and chosen a texture size for it, is there a way to go back and change the texture size? I have already finished texturing the model and I have exported it but it seems to be bogging down my Carrara Studio 6 Pro. I am thinking I may have set the texture size too big but I am not certain. Thanks.
Andrew Shpagin
There is Commands -> Change nmest and texture resolution. But if you want to decrease the texture size after export it is better to do in any 2d editor because of better filtering. Sometimes you need additional sharping.

Reputable Contributor digman Posted February 12, 2015 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted February 12, 2015 Taros is correct, though Andrew points out a very important item if you want to decrease the texture size. I do not think the function does any real resampling but just resizes the image. It would better better to use your 2D paint program to resample the image to the size you desire.
