Hi Everyone,

Brand new to 3D Coat, have been learning it for the last week or two, this is what I've got:

I used this image as a reference:

After learning the retopology tools tonight, I have to say how blown away I am with how great 3D Coat is, congrats to the devs who've built such a cool bit of software.

re the arms, yeah a little bit :)

Now I have to learn how to texture... am I right to sculpt first then paint?

So once you start painting, you can't go back to voxel sculpting?

You can go back and make changes, but instead of merging again, you want to access the texture baking tool inside the Retopo Room. It's in the TEXTURES menu. Just bake out a normal map and then import that into the Paint Room. TEXTURES > IMPORT> Normal Map. Can can blend the new with the old or just turn the depth down on the layer with the old.
