I request marquee tool in 3d-coat,it is more useful than freeze tool. PS have this feature, but that is in 2D. I want it will be able in 3D.

also request the "magic wand tool",It is very useful when select the area. The idea shown as below:

(Bodypanit have this feature.)

Is marquee tool the inverse to freeze? I can treat inverse freezing like marquee. The only problem - how to show it properly on screen - how it should look? Dotted line like in PS?

If you add magic wand, it would be great to have multiple selections available and to have a 'make new layer from selection' option as well as invert selection and feather, all as in PS.

Yes this, but I would like it so you could "Save Selection set." and "Load Selection" like in Photoshop - also I believe these selection sets should be saved into the .3b file. This would be alot more intuitive to me than the freeze tool. Perhaps it is just the display of the frozen areas that is throwing me off and it would make more sense as a dotted line like photoshop...?

maybe the frozen areas (i.e. masked off areas you can't paint) should be dimmed or dimmable so you still can see what is there as opposed to the (to me) undulating trasparency checkerboard..
