Member Necroscope Posted February 24, 2015 Member Report Share Posted February 24, 2015 Is there an option in 3D-Coat to keep boundary verticles? I want to use the relax command but keep the edges of my mesh unchanged (selecting verts individually would be a pain in the a.).
Contributor Tony Nemo Posted February 24, 2015 Contributor Report Share Posted February 24, 2015 Select the edges you don't want changed and do a CTR;-SHIFT-I to invert the selection and then selecting "Vertices" in the top bar and Relax.

Contributor Tony Nemo Posted February 25, 2015 Contributor Report Share Posted February 25, 2015 Okay, I made it too easy. Do your selection and then in "Mark Seams" mode (so the the "Selection" commands are visible), choose "Invert".

Contributor Tony Nemo Posted February 25, 2015 Contributor Report Share Posted February 25, 2015 Sorry for the mis-info. A work around would select all vertices and deselect those you don't want to relax. Maybe I'll post a 'let's have a CNTL-SHIFT-Invert for the Selection tool. Contributor ajz3d Posted February 25, 2015 Contributor Report Share Posted February 25, 2015 In the "features" thread I remember asking for something similar, but not limited to border edges. http://3d-coat.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=15125&view=findpost&p=116216 (second paragraph to the last) I hope Andrew will eventually read it, and your post here, and introduce this funcionality. It would make life a little bit easier.
