Island folded over, can't seem to straighten.

I used Retopo Room to build 1/2 of a mesh. I exported it to Max, used 'symmetry' to mirror it. I have a perfectly clean mesh with all proper normals and no unwelded verts.

When I bring in back to 3DC and use UV room all goes well except one part. It's folded over. See the 'GREEN' arrows. The identical part is on the other side and it unwraps perfectly. It's the 'RED' arrow.

My UV seams in 3DC are good and continuous. When a checker is on I can see that's it's discontinuous at the sharp fold. I've tried everything obvious to try to unfold it.

What could make it distort? Any way to fix this?

I believe it is a bug. I thought it was fixed in the newest beta but I can still produce twisted polygons in a uv island.

The picture shows a simple object. The problem uv island is just from a corner passing through the bevel to the other corner of the model. A very easy unwrap that should have no problems at all for that uv island.

I get twisted polygons in the uv island.

The model is from Wings3d imported into the retopo room for the retopo mesh. I checked the obj model in Hexagon and there are no problems with it.

You will for now just have to add extra seams to get it to unwrap correctly...

I sent the problem 3DC file to Andrew through support for him to to look at.

RobH2, you can seen him your file as well. Under the help menu in 3DC select send file to support, shown in picture and refer to this thread as well.
