Advanced Member geo_n Posted January 13, 2014 Advanced Member Report Share Posted January 13, 2014 Does anyone have experience with the new Intuos CTL-480 and windows 8? My old bamboo is 5 years old and probably need to retire. Any issues with the new Intuos and windows 8?
Javis
Hey geo. I haven't had any issues with my Intuos 4 on Win 8 at all. It runs very well. It's also free of the ring of doom issues that plagued previous versions of windows (with the latest drivers from wacom). I have had issues with my Intuos 2 though, seems wacom doesn't support their older models on Win 8. Your bamboo might even work on there, since it's not too old. Javis
I know right. I used the Intuos 2 pretty regularly with my laptop and the Intuos 4 with my workstation, for years. I guess I should have expected wacom to drop support for their older products at some point. It just sucks because overall, the Intuos 2 is better regarding durability. The nibs last much longer.
