Just experimenting with fluid sims using x-particles for cinema 4D, saw something familiar, so i stuck a green material on it, a bit of lighting and Voilia! 3D coat logo =)

Pretty cool. I thought of doing something similar in 3ds Max, but the trick is to get the sim result to match the final logo appearance.

i could probably get some reference geometry to force the particles to match that exact shape.

does anyone have the source file for the original?

meanwhile worked on making it more gooewy. And wanted the liquids to stick to the sphere more instead of just falling off it at the widest points.

I'll send you a file via PM. That's a very good idea. Never thought to make the finished logo (just the paint) a non-visible "container" for the sim.
