Hey guys,

I finished the final cut of my Tutorial reshot on different software and new audio, tell me your honest opinion.

15 minute final version (from 55minutes), with chapters and titles.

Tutorial Part1 (HTML 5 Player)

I think I could make the intro more catchy, thats my only thought atm. I need some perspective from you.

(Don't ask why at the end of I call the retopo room the "reetope-o" room, it just slipped out.

Admin could you delete the topic: 15686 (Draft) thankyou :)

This alternative way to create the Tyre tread faster by using the SKETCH tool is great

Ty for sharing :D

The Sketch model was created with 2 Cast Sets.

1st to create the tread  depth and the 2nd to mold the rest.

Gives for a nice result.

It's not easy to do tutorials, but they do get easier as you go. I always find I'm stumbling around if I haven't done one for a while. Don't worry about mistakes as they can be good to show that anyone can have them. Unless you have quite a few. Try and do the 'tutorial' before actually recording, as you can identify areas where you'll run into problems or might actually find a different way to do something.

Going back to your tutorial, I'm having one problem that I can not create a second 'sketch' object, either in the current or a new volume. I can see it in the viewport but it will not allow me to apply the volume. I did manage it on one (early) attempt, but somehow can not replicate it. Are you aware of any requirements for creating a new sketch?

Definitely easier the 2nd time I shot it and not being shy to do 2 or 3 takes.

Its a good sense of accomplishment one I finished it and share it.

Right going back - occasionally the sketch tool can glitch but switching to another voxel tool then coming back to the sketch tool will fix that.

Once your back on the sketch tool you should be able to swap in the new stencils you want and hit Enter to commit the changes to the second object.

If you're still having issues hit me up on skype (using share screen) and I dont mind going through it with you

Just a quick note, if anyone else has this problem, select transform and then go back to sketch. Other selections may work, but this is the first one I found.
