Contributor Tony Nemo Posted April 25, 2015 Contributor Report Share Posted April 25, 2015 I can't say why you have a problem and it appears everyone is taking a day off. if you get a satisfactory result with Symmetry off, consider yourself well pleased.
Member Silicon Power Posted April 26, 2015 Author Member Report Share Posted April 26, 2015 But as 3d-coat says symmetry is needed for a better autopo
Contributor Tony Nemo Posted April 26, 2015 Contributor Report Share Posted April 26, 2015 I've used it for manual Retopo but never for Autopo.
Advanced Member Gary Dave Posted April 27, 2015 Advanced Member Report Share Posted April 27, 2015 (edited) I just gave this a whirl, if I only have one symmetry plane active it seems to work without issue, however when I use 2 symmetry planes I get some odd results that I can only describe as "overlapping" on the seams. However, I was always getting at-least something. Are you able to upload the 3dc file? Edit Oh, that overlapping issue I just mentioned, seems to be caused by virtual mirror mode, so not actually a problem as that can be disabled. I also tried inverting the mirror in the sculpt room before doing the autopo, but I still can't re-create your issue.
