Contributor Michaelgdrs Posted January 1, 2016 Contributor Report Share Posted January 1, 2016 Just saw it , exactly what David told me this morning and what i was doing with one small difference.... Instead of thr free green line i created orange section like step 1 and it was not working. Thank you both so much.
Taros
David gave me the solution with strokes tool and one vertical green line. Thank you so much David. I guess you missed my free tutorial series on YouTube, where I am describing the stroke tool in retopo room in detail: https://youtu.be/aaPjN5vQNTs?list=PL3zXSVOeORuFJfJUczNtyc3bzzwjeSiTS&t=228
Contributor Michaelgdrs Posted January 2, 2016 Contributor Report Share Posted January 2, 2016 Your tutorials are some of the very best our there Chris. I was using it wrong. To be accurate half of the times correct half of the times wrong so this gave me the wrong feeling about tool not working correctly or having a bug. After that i completely skipped the tool. Carlosan
Software, as complex tools, despite potentially allow more freedom, are making us dumber and more limited artists. Your long term grow will depend on not becoming any particular software acolyte. Despite how awesome it is now but to love the flow. Lots of work today on QuadStrip tool, started coding the intersection detection for later split and welding

Contributor ajz3d Posted January 28, 2016 Contributor Report Share Posted January 28, 2016 (edited) Solved and optimized exclusive strips end welding (allow only one weld per free quad edge, preventing non manifolds) What about junctions that include vertices of valence equal to 5 or 6? Valence of 5 is pretty damn common. Edited January 28, 2016 by ajz3d

Carlosan
Farsthary @Farsthary - Solved different sizes welding issue in QuadStrips (100%) - Rotation of stroke ends done in QuadStrips reordered also Move and Scale, but will need feedback for better placing of those events

farsthary
Very cool Raul. Any way to keep those selected polygons from rescaling arbitrarily? Yes, that will be the polishing iteration and after that I will go back to fix QuadPaint filling algorithm too as the competence is starting to implement similar features
