Advanced Member arumiat Posted December 1, 2015 Advanced Member Report Share Posted December 1, 2015 I created a brush alpha of just some white lines on a black background, with a bit of gaussian blur. I'd like to use it to paint lines on an object, but I get these strange crossing lines /striations currently running across my painted lines Anyone any tips to get rid of these? Thanks,T
Contributor Tony Nemo Posted December 1, 2015 Contributor Report Share Posted December 1, 2015 A nuisance I'm sure, but save the brush for doing fabric bands.
Reputable Contributor digman Posted December 2, 2015 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted December 2, 2015 Check under Brush Options to see if you have "Use Spacing" selected. If possible share the Alpha here for others to look if that is not the problem.
Advanced Member Tarby Posted December 11, 2015 Advanced Member Report Share Posted December 11, 2015 That looks like possible antialiasing artefact issues with your alpha, which I've had with very fine scratch alphas or even textures used in smart materials. It could be your texture map setup is too low a resolution for the alpha's "daintiness", and you might want to try and modify the original alpha artwork so that it's 'chunkier', and reimport it.
