Photoshop bridge and Depth layer information

Hi, I use 3D-Coat a lot with the Photoshop bridge to go back and forth really fast to pain color information, but I'd also like to be able to do this with normal information.

Since 3D-Coat paints Depth and not Normal this isn't really possible by default, the depth information is obviously not carried over to Photoshop, requiring me to always use the export function to export my depth information to a normal map (and always have to make sure to hide the normal map layer).

Isn't there a way to convert the Depth information of a layer to a new normal map layer straight in 3DC instead, so I could then use the bridge to send it to Photoshop?
