Contributor ajz3d Posted February 4, 2015 Contributor Report Share Posted February 4, 2015 Cool, but... Well, that's a science-fiction-like visualisation of a new technology. But at what stage it is at the moment? Of course, it's a step in the right direction, but I don't like the fact they did not show us some real videos of it. We might as well not get this tech at all (at least not when Windows 8.3... err.. 10 comes out), because some aspects of it might turn out way more complicated than engineers anticipated. So, until I see some real stuff, I'll remain sceptical. At our current technology level, would it even be possible to show a real-time feedback of, say, a 20+ million tris 3D-Coat model in those glasses, while maintaining an acceptable level of visual performance when navigating the viewport or sculpting? I don't think that even the most popular wireless 802.11n medium could handle this amount of data.
