Since 3d coat aspires to be a premium 3d paint program it should have procedural noise generators

this feature is in the to do list

i dont know the schedule time

Is there any place we can see this to-do list so we don't keep accidentally bringing up things that are on there, or is it more effective that we do so anyways because that shows our interest in that feature?

Bingo on the latter. The list is in Andrew's head, sometimes he tells us his plans (for example procedurals, or a nodal shading system, or multi-UV support), but most of the time it's locked away in his skull. :)

It's a good idea to just voice concern for what you want, Andrew really does listen to users, so the more voices for improvements and/or features, the more likely it is we'll see that feature.

Which could, by definition, be done with a procedural noise generator.

In my case, I'm not even worried about Nodals.... A first step would be- well, all the procedurals from Steve Worley's old book....

The procedure atm is

working in surface mode, switch to Paint Room

Use fill tool, create a custom modulation type adding any texture

Fill w/Freeze = ON, apply over the layer

back to sculpt mode

apply noise tool
