Reputable Contributor AbnRanger Posted September 12, 2009 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted September 12, 2009 pretty cool it'd be really cool if you could embed links to the videos inside of the PDF manualYeah....I think that would be a good idea too. You could go through the manual and embed the corresponding videos on each tools page, so that instead of linking to the video, it's embedded and plays right there on the page. It would certainly add to the file size of the manual, but that's a small price to pay for the convenience and you could then call it the "3DC Media Manual." I'm sure the videos could be compressed a good deal just for the manualYou could also embed clips from the upcoming (monthly) Webinars as well. I have to say that the efforts to build the training materials and improve the manual are really coming along nicely, and I for one greatly appreciate it. Kudos to everyone involved. Contributor Tony Nemo Posted September 12, 2009 Contributor Report Share Posted September 12, 2009 Kafkaesque or "Catch 22"? Javis, this begs an explanation. I mean, what if some misterious agency "embargoes" me? I would be up the creek!

Javis
New videos. If they are not yet available for viewing on the external sites, please be patient as they are most likely still processing the video! Advanced Member geo_n Posted October 11, 2009 Advanced Member Report Share Posted October 11, 2009 Very good videos. Thank you for making it clear after watching a video I understand it already. Reading manual it takes me multiple times of testing before I get it. Haha. I wish there were video manuals for lw 8 when I studied it, it would have saved me hundreds of hours reading a programmers manual.

Reading manual it takes me multiple times of testing before I get it. Haha. I wish there were video manuals for lw 8 when I studied it, it would have saved me hundreds of hours reading a programmers manual. No kidding! That's when I got to using LW as well, during the 8.x cycle... Reading the manual didn't help me at all, lol. Admittedly I watched lots of videos for LW then, and they helped quite a bit, even if they weren't the best out there. Sometimes just having someone demonstrate some technical aspects really can go a long way in helping understand some basic usages and flow of the program. I am glad these videos help people. So if you downloaded this video previously, you'll need to re-download it again to get the new one. All links in this and the previous post are the same, so you can use them. Javis
Hey everyone, thanks! I really appreciate it. geo! You are so right. It takes a loooong time to do, even for just one video. I never knew how much work it was until I started doing it. But then I started doing it for multiple videos each time, and then I realized how truly cumbersome it is. I'm getting used to it now though, I do find vimeo a little better for batch uploading over youtube. But youtube has better batch loading options. If only I could have the best of both worlds... Then there is the editing process.... Ooof... It takes forever! Of course, I'm not complaining. I enjoy doing it, it's all part of the process! Anyway, thanks again folks! Keep and eye out for more videos.
