RAMDisk

Ram disks are nice if you have the extra memory to spare.  I first used one on my Amiga and it was really nice, especially when all you had for storage was floppy disks.  But once I bought a hard drive I dropped the ram disk because the memory was far more useful for applications.  Not to mention that memory was hard to get in those days.   :)

These days I just use an SSD and call it good.  Although a ram disk would be faster, the only issue is the time it takes to load it initially.

Yeah...after I upgraded to 32 GB, I thought about using AMD RAMdisk, which was a software utility that came with the AMD RAM sticks I bought. It basically uses the designated portion of your memory as a HD. I decided not to use it. I just bought an SSD drive to use, instead.
