Member MitchR Posted August 3, 2014 Member Report Share Posted August 3, 2014 I have an Unhappy Buddha here. I don't quite understand how my Autopo is puffing out from the form on one side? The model is symmetrical and I'm applying symmetry across the z access. Not sure if there something wrong with how I'm lining things up before applying Autopo? Is there a sure fire way to center my object and symmetry plane for an even Autopo? Or is there a tool to conform the mesh better to the model? I'm not doing anything crazy here. This can't be that uncommon with a fix for it. Anyone?
Member Stakycake Posted August 4, 2014 Member Report Share Posted August 4, 2014 Hello, I don't know if it's because of the perspective of the screenshot, but the high res mesh looks like not symetrical. I'm new to 3d coat, but as I know, to recenter your reference mesh, you can go to the voxel room, pick up the transform tool, then, on the right in the "tool options", you clic on "Reset space". This is to place the object in the center of all axes. May be there is a better way but I just know that one (hoping it's a good one...) Member Solution MitchR Posted August 4, 2014 Author Member Solution Report Share Posted August 4, 2014 Thanks! I resolved it by turning off symmetry when apply Autopo. Turned out my model was not perfectly symmetrical but close. It makes for some mesh clean up but its worth it.
