New Member Distortoise Posted August 9, 2013 New Member Report Share Posted August 9, 2013 Let's say I had two copies of the same model, but with two vastly different UV sets applied to each. If I had a texture designed for one model's UV set, is there a way in which 3DCoat could look at this model with this texture and then use that information to paint the second model and its UV set to look as identical as possible to the first?
Javis
Yes, 3DC shines with this type of thing, and there are a couple of ways to do it. You can use the texture baking tool, or import both meshes, along with the mesh with the UVs and textures for that particular mesh/UV map, then bake from the retopo menu in the Retopo room.
