Member Aabel Posted July 21, 2014 Member Report Share Posted July 21, 2014 I did a quick search and it doesn't seem this has been discussed yet, but I was curious if there is any chance of 3d-coat gaining OpenVDB support/implementation for it's voxel room. http://www.openvdb.org/ I don't know 3d-coat well enough yet to know the ins and outs of it's voxel implementation, but it certainly looks like OpenVDB implementation would be an upgrade in functionality. Member Aabel Posted July 21, 2014 Author Member Report Share Posted July 21, 2014 Yes, they are clear, which is why software development companies such as SideFX, Solid Angle and Pixar all contribute code to the OpenVDB project, yet retain full commercial rights to the software packages they develop and sell. The contributors license governs contributions of code to be included in OpenVDB, not software packages that implement and support OpenVDB.
