PolyHertz
Is it possible to rotate the view in the texture editor like you can with the canvas in programs like Photoshop? It makes painting things quite a bit easier in some cases.
Reputable Contributor AbnRanger Posted September 30, 2015 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted September 30, 2015 No, it's not, but honestly, it's as easy as hitting CTRL + P and doing that in PS and jumping back into 3DC when you are done. Photoshop has some things you can only do there, and 3D Coat has texture tools not available in PS, so the user should really view PS as an extension of 3D Coat, since the interoperability is so good.
PolyHertz
Yea I jump between 3DC and PS very regularly, but thought it would be nice to be able to do it in 3DC too.
Reputable Contributor AbnRanger Posted October 2, 2015 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted October 2, 2015 It could be a good feature request....maybe Andrew could do that at the same time, if he ever gets around to adding UV tiles as a native option to UV sets. But I don't hold my breath for anything I ask for. You could get 100 votes on trello and it doesn't seem to matter.
