Member shape3d Posted September 18, 2015 Member Report Share Posted September 18, 2015 I tried to do something like in this video: But I can't deactivate morphs or combine them, everything I do in the tweak room is permanent. Is this a bug? Switching to paint room doesn't help. CU Ansgar

Contributor Tony Nemo Posted September 18, 2015 Contributor Report Share Posted September 18, 2015 It's ancient. 3DC has changed a lot since that was made. Maybe Javis can do an update?
Advanced Member vidi Posted September 18, 2015 Advanced Member Report Share Posted September 18, 2015 (edited) Strange Because for me it works, Do you start with Paint (Mirco vertex) mode? But anyway. All is realy great in 3D Coat except Create morphs, therefore I use only for my morphs still Mudbox. Once 3D Coat handle it better, I cancel this subscription Edited September 18, 2015 by vidi
Contributor Michaelgdrs Posted September 18, 2015 Contributor Report Share Posted September 18, 2015 Hey Vidi , you start by importing a mesh for paint? I imported it for PPP and it didnt work at all.
Advanced Member vidi Posted September 18, 2015 Advanced Member Report Share Posted September 18, 2015 See also what Javis wrote under the video NOTE: To use this technique you MUST be using Microvertex mode, not Per Pixel or PTEX

Member shape3d Posted September 18, 2015 Author Member Report Share Posted September 18, 2015 Ah, I used per pixel. Are there any downsides of microvertex? All of my workflowtests were with per pixel and now displacement is shown too so what is better in microvertex? As 3d software I use Cinema 4d which has nice morphing tools. But I would prefer to do it in coat because then I can create some additional normal or displacement maps which fit to the morphs. Contributor ajz3d Posted September 18, 2015 Contributor Report Share Posted September 18, 2015 so what is better in microvertex? Probably only the fact that you can export vector displacement map.
Member shape3d Posted September 19, 2015 Author Member Report Share Posted September 19, 2015 Probably only the fact that you can export vector displacement map. But when I understand it correct the 3dcoat vector displacement isn't able to do undercuts so it is not better than normal displacement? Member shape3d Posted September 19, 2015 Author Member Report Share Posted September 19, 2015 So, in microvertex mode it works indeed. CU Ansgar
