Member Flippers Posted November 20, 2014 Member Report Share Posted November 20, 2014 i'm sculpting this shark creature and i wanna place custom sculpted teeth all through his mouth. ideally i'll sculpt one tooth and populate it in the mouth. in zbrush i'd use insert brush for this. i'm sure coat has something similar but i'd have no idea how to to this. can anyone point me in the right direction? cheers! Javis
Hi! Sculpt Room> Import Tool You can also save a Sculpt Object as a preset for the Import tool. That should do the trick for you.
Member Flippers Posted November 20, 2014 Author Member Report Share Posted November 20, 2014 so if i created a tooth, i can ...rmb click the layer (i'm guessing) and say, save as a import preset or something? can i drag the object over a mesh and it will align like in zbrush. oh boy, i'm excited!!! Solution Javis Posted November 21, 2014 Solution Report Share Posted November 21, 2014 To use the normal alignment like in ZB, tick on "On Brush" in the Tool Options panel. And to make it a preset, RMB on the layer you want to save, then Export>Save to Meshes Panel. Actually, the text might be different in the build you have, I renamed that function some time ago but I'm not sure that version of the text has gone out yet. So if that text isn't in the build you have, then it might be labeled as something like "Export Pattern for Merge Object Tool" or "Import Tool" something like that. But it's in the same location. Hope that helps!
