Advanced Member psyborgue Posted January 25, 2009 Advanced Member Report Share Posted January 25, 2009 quad an paint- lot of artifacts An object that complex (especialy if you intend to deform), it's probably best to manually retopo and lay out UVs (not that hard to learn to do, and well worth it in the long run). I love the voxel version of the robot, but the painted version... eek. It's ruined. Ps: it reminds me of the geth from Mass Effect.
Advanced Member parel Posted January 25, 2009 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted January 25, 2009 psyborgue- lol -ruined is right. It was a test run and I guess that in a lot of the really bumpy areas that I will have to retopo Andrew, thanks for the tips. I will try more individual parts

Advanced Member parel Posted January 28, 2009 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted January 28, 2009 Thats what I thought. Unfortunately I cant pick edges vertices. Strange behavior. Maybe I should download the latest build. Edit- I think that the tablet sensitivity was too low. Works now.
